For plan questions, start with your insurer
Use the member-services number on your insurance ID card or the insurer's official website for questions about membership, ID cards and benefits. For a premium bill or payment, use the insurer's billing department and official payment instructions.
Premium payments go to the insurance company
For Marketplace coverage, you pay premiums to the insurer, not the Marketplace. Check your bill or plan materials for the correct payment method. If a payment is missing or coverage appears inactive, ask the insurer to confirm the payment and policy status.
Have your information ready
Prepare your member ID, the bill or letter, and the date and amount of any payment. Explain the question clearly and keep a note of the representative's name and reference number. Do not send sensitive policy details through public comments.
